Club Privacy Policy
The GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION – GDPR states that those who record, and process personal information must be open about how the information is used and must follow the six principles of ‘good information handling’.

How and what Personal Data is Collected
Lee Chapel Fishing Club Collect personal data from Applicants for Membership of the Club from hard copy Membership application forms submitted by applicants.
This Personal Data is limited to:
Name, Address, Date of Birth, Sex, Hard Copy Photograph and if provided Telephone Numbers, email address, Bank Account Sort Code and Account Number when paying Membership Fees by cheque.
Personal Data Collection Rationale
Lee Chapel Fishing Club collects the personal data as described in the previous paragraph in order to maintain a Log of a valid Members for the current Club Fishing Season.
Names, Addresses and where appropriate Telephone Numbers and email addresses are recorded and maintained to provide effective communications of Club matters to Members. Lee Chapel Fishing Club operates a tiered membership structure based on age therefore Date of Birth is required to determine which level of membership the applicant is eligible to. When a Cheque is provided for Membership fees the Bank Account Number, Sort Code are kept in case of any issues with clearing of said cheque.
All personally identifiable information provided to Lee Chapel Fishing Club is processed in accordance with the principles of The General Data Protection Regulation.

Personal Data Storage and Length
Lee Chapel Fishing Club stores the Personal Data as described in the previous in an electronic file stored on the appointed Officers Personal PC behind a Firewall. A Hard copy list of Members and completed Membership Application forms and stored by the Club Secretary. Members email addresses are stored along with the associated Name in the Clubs email account Contact List at yahoo.co.uk.
All this material is kept for 12 months after the end of each Season. It is then deleted from electronic files and hard copies of membership forms and any printed lists & photos are shredded. The Data is kept for 12 months to allow for late membership renewals & year on year membership analysis. A Data Retention log is maintained.

Use of Close Circuit Television (CCTV)
Lee Chapel Fishing Club operates CCTV for crime prevention reasons only and have an CCTV process which includes who has access and how long any images are retained and for what purposes. The Clubs use of CCTV is commensurate with this Privacy Policy and your rights are the same as described within this document for access to any images you require. Details on how to request access of images can be found in the Clubs CCTV Operations Policy document.
Personal Data to Third Parties
Lee Chapel Fishing Club does not collect or compile personally identifying information for dissemination or sale to external parties for marketing purposes or host mailings on behalf of third parties. However, we do provide Angling Trust a summation of Number of Members their sex and Age as evidence of Number and structure of Membership as a requirement for Membership Public & Personal Liability Insurance purposes with the Angling Trust.

Access to Personal Data
Lee Chapel Fishing Club tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. You can find the personal information about you by making a request, in writing, to the Secretary at leechaplefishingclub@yahoo.co.uk
Your request should include details and provide documented evidence of who you are (e.g. driving licence, passport, birth certificate). You should also provide as much detail as possible regarding the information you wish to access (e.g. where and by whom information is believed to be held, specific details of information required etc).
You are not required to state WHY you wish to access the information, but you should include any details which will help us locate and retrieve the information.

All efforts will be made to provide you with a response within 31 working days. In any event, you will receive all the information that has been located and can be released within 31 days and an explanation for any information that cannot be provided at that time.
